THE 2010 INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL BOLLYWOOD AND BEYOND
Melbourne goes Bollywood!
Venues: Federation Square, Cinema Nova 
‘The Queen of Bollywood’ – multi award-winning actress Rani Mukherjee – will open the 2010 Indian Film Festival ‘BOLLYWOOD AND BEYOND’ in Melbourne next week. 
Ms Mukherjee and director Anurag Singh will introduce their new film, comedy musical DIL BOLE HADIPPA, which will open the festival on Wednesday March 10 at Cinema Nova.  
The eight day festival, running from March 10 to March 17, will feature a number of special free screenings on the big screen at Federation Square inviting all of Melbourne to get into the Bollywood mood.  
3 IDIOTS, the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time will be introduced by director Raju Hirani at Federation Square on Thursday 11 March with Bollywood dancers getting the audience into the spirit of things.  
On Saturday 13 March audiences can spot Melbourne sites when  MAIN AURR MRS KHANNA  (shot in Melbourne in 2009) is presented at Federation Square by actor/producer Sohail Khan. The audience can also dance alongside Bollywood dancers and win prizes! 
The IFF will feature eight premiere screenings and an array of Meet the Maker events where Hindi filmmakers including Rajkumar Hirani (director of the highest grossing Hindi film of all time- 3 IDIOTS) and Imtiaz Ali (director of box office hits JAB WE MET and LOVE AAJ KAL) will discuss their careers within the world’s biggest film industry.

7pm  Dil Bole Hadippa with special introduction by Anurag Singh and Rani Mukherjee

3 Idiots
A free screening of the highest grossing Bollywood film ever! Come join in the festivities, dance with the performers from Shaimak Davar's Academy and meet director Raju Hirani and some very special guests. 
 
8pm, Saturday 13 March @ Federation Square, Melbourne
Main Aurr Mrs Khanna
Actor/producer Sohail Khan will present a free screening of his film Main Aurr Mrs Khanna which was made in Melbourne. The audience can dance alongside Bollywood dancers and win prizes! 

MEET THE MAKERS

A special screening of the romantic blockbuster Love Aaj Kal and Q&A with charismatic director, Imtiaz Ali.  
8.30pm, Saturday 13 March @ Cinema Nova, 380 Lygon St, Carlton
A special screening of the biggest Bollywood hit of this decade, 3 Idiots, and Q&A with director, Raju Hirani.
