MEL 10 April 2010: Australian Football - Are you ready?
Are you interested in learning about and learning to play Australian Football? Surrey Park Football Club (Surrey Hills, Victoria) has launched a program aimed at the Indian community. This program will consist of skills sessions and later fully-fledged matches. Because it's tailored to Indians, it offers a no-pressure environment in which to learn about Australia's indigenous sport, whilst staying fit, meeting new people and learning about the Australian way of life. The program is suitable for those with zero to good knowledge of the game. You can consider yourself a sportsman or have never partaken in sport before. Females are just as welcome as males, as numerous non-playing roles exist. Having said that, if enough females want to play, options are available. Eligible players will be considered to represent India at next year's International Cup (that's a high liklihood of being able to represent your country at the "World Cup" of Australian Football!) Attend the information session (Cnr Elgar and Canterbury Roads, SURREY HILLS 3127) on Saturday 10 April at 10am for more details. Registration will occur the following week at the same time.
