Appaling Assault on Indian Students

By Dr. SMD - Posted on 10 June 2009

Let me start by saying that I being an Australian it is so not like Australian and I am shocked to hear and see international students being harassed and attacked. I have heard and read attacks on aisian/chineese and now indian students. Guys (who are attacking these students), all these students and people are our guests till they become citizens and we should look after these guests as these students bring over $15 Billion in the economy and create heaps of jobs, and if my fellow australians donot understand what the above $ value means then think this way... the whole stimulus package was aound $20 billion from Kevin Rudd to boost Australian economy and we will need $20 billion stimulus package every year if we lose these guests... That is just a material reason but more importantly... are we animals or humans? Can we just shake hands and live together and have a dialogue? Can we behave like humans for a change? Can we just respect our fellow beings? We are Australians and we need to clean up our image overseas!!!!! What is this crap race Supremacy? Haven't we learnt from world war 2 and what happens to such people? Aussies are not racist, come'on Aussies lets show our real selves, real australians and be the friendliest nation and people in the world! Let's join the peace march in July and prove that we are not racist and turn in all such people who are spoiling the name of our nation! Lets join hands... all ethnicities, nativeAustralians, born Australians, new australians, citizens and visiors. I am proud to be a genuine frindly Australian. My Indian friends, please remain peacefull and assist Police nab such appaling people as they must be brought to justice. You have been one of the most peaceful part of the society and your protest has been very peaceful so far. Please remain vigilant, calm and work closely with Police. We Australians are with you!!!
